A Step Rarely Discussed

There is a step rarely discussed
-- a single step everyone must take before they can earn serious profits from any business. I like to call it shifting into First Gear. And today I'm going to show you exactly what this means, and why you must take this step

We all know that every successful Internet venture requires a product or service, a website, an email marketing campaign and more. But before all those important steps can be put into place, something has to happen INSIDE OF YOU first.

In some people it just happens. You transform from a person who is programmed to work hard, in most cases as an employee -- into a person who works smart -- inspired to be creative, and self-employed.

That, ladies and gentlemen, is First Gear. Once you've achieved it, you're on your way.

Unfortunately, most folks never get out of neutral. In fact, some people are more than happy to stay there indefinitely. That's because neutral can be comfortable. After all, there are very few risks or changes when you're not moving forward.

Here's what "Neutral" feels like...

1. Getting up early every morning in most cases, with the aid of an alarm clock.

2. Going through your morning routine, striving to get to work on time.

3. Stopping for a cup of coffee on the way to work and thinking about, or in many cases, dreading your upcoming day.

4. Doing what you're told or what's expected of you for eight or so hours until the clock hits quitting time.

5. Going home and settling in for some TV time before you go to sleep, so you can wake up and do it all over again.

Sounds a bit mundane, perhaps even boring, eh?

Believe me, it can be if you let it. I know, because I was stuck in neutral. Neutral was all I knew. That is, until I answered a classified ad from a magazine and was introduced to the world of self-employment. Although that particular ad did not turn out to be my answer, my action was. Yes, that day something woke up in me and I shifted into first gear.

Here's what "first gear" felt like to me...

1. Getting up early every morning and writing down an idea or two about how to become self-employed.

2. Getting inspired by the world around me and recording my new ideas.

3. Putting in maximum effort at my job until the clock hit quitting time, just to test my ambition and drive.

4. Recording more ideas and dive into the adventure of creating a website and having a home based business.

5. Trading my nightly TV time for 3-4 hours on the computer researching niches, entering my ideas and creating my projects.

Now, wouldn't you agree that's not too different than neutral? I mean, I did not quit my job  and I still had lots of time to do what I wanted. I simply motivated my brain to be more creative and use my time more wisely and enjoy the adventure. Imagine the thrill of your first client. It will boost your mood. It will give your life a lift.

Actually, today I like to think of my current gear as "still upshifting". I get up without the help of an alarm clock. I have time for the kids and relax, read the papera?|.. Finally, when I feel like it, I work a few hours on the computer. It may be in the afternoon or at night, but the main thing is this... I fit work in around living, not the other way around.

It's a lifestyle I never dreamed I'd achieve when I was stuck in neutral. But it happened because IN ONE MOMENT I made the conscious decision to shift out of neutral into first gear.

And that folks, is the step that most people never take.

So today I want you to answer just one question... are you stuck in neutral?
Or do you want to dive into the adventure and boost your mood. Dare to live your dreams.

There are lots of gurus on and off the web. Just remember this... no matter who you choose to listen to, the main thing is that you take that first step in the right direction -- first gear. That's the key to success - taking the first step and getting started. Why not do it today.

I wish you lots of success and see a relaxing, rewarding lifestyle in your future.

To your online marketing success.

5-point vs. 6-point Likert Scales

One of the most common scaled-response format questions in survey design today is the Likert scale. It was developed by the American educator and organizational psychologist Rensis Likert in 1932 as an attempt to improve the levels of measurement in social research through the use of standardized response categories in survey questionnaires. Over the years, Likert's original 5-point scale has taken on many new forms which we will address in the following white paper.
A commonly used 5-point Likert scale format to measure Satisfaction is:

Very satisfied
Satisfied
Neither satisfied nor dissatisfied
Dissatisfied
Very dissatisfied

Another version of the scale which can be found in some satisfaction surveys is the 6-point Likert scale which reads:

Extremely satisfied
Very satisfied
Somewhat satisfied
Somewhat dissatisfied
Very dissatisfied
Extremely dissatisfied

In February 2013, Infosurv conducted a forum of market researchers to understand their preference between 5-point and 6-point Likert scales. Our conclusion is that most modern researchers agree that the neutral rating in a 5-point scale is needed when conducting survey research.

Of the researchers who participated in this discussion, 71% expressed a preference for 5-point Likert scales, 12% preferred the 6-point scale, and 17% were neutral on the matter. Those researchers preferring the 5-point scale cited the following reasons:
Survey respondents might truly feel neutral about a given topic, and presenting to these respondents a scale without a neutral midpoint can introduce respondent bias as respondents are forced to chose a more positive or negative response. Some researchers point out that in many cases respondents will accentuate the negative in an experience.
Neutral is a legitimate opinion that exists among respondents. Generally speaking, if we solicit every opinion of the people that are surveyed, the neutral rating needs to be included in the scale. If we are not interested in the neutral opinion, we don't have to include it in the scale.
With a 5-point scale you have a nice midpoint. The 3 rating is right in the middle and it indicates neutrality or mixed satisfaction. When calculating the mean weighted average you have a standard point of comparison. You will know instantly that an average rating of 3.4 is above neutral and a 2.8 is below.
Those researchers preferring the 6-point scale cited the following reasons:
They prefer to have an even number of ratings in the scale to have respondents commit to either the positive or negative end of the scale. These researchers disagree with giving the respondent a neutral or ambivalent answer choice.
also argue that neutral answers are rare anyways because in the majority of the cases, only those who had a positive or negative experience/opinion will want to participate in a research study.
Some researchers involved in this discussion pointed out that in the questionnaire design process, researchers must factor in respondents' knowledge of the topic at hand. A lack of respondent knowledge may lead to an abuse of the endpoints of longer scales resulting in lower reliability than with the shorter scales. If a respondent is very familiar with the subject, for example a student rating a professor's performance, a neutral rating may not be as necessary compared to a situation where you're asking the student to rate his school's financial aid policies. It could be argued that in the latter case the respondent could truly have a neutral attitude towards the subject at hand.
Conclusion
As the results of the Infosurv forum show, there are arguments for and against the various forms of the Likert scale. Though the majority of modern market researchers prefer a 5-point scale, it is ultimately the responsibility of the survey questionnaire designer expert to decide upon the scale that best fits their needs.
It is important to remember that the ultimate purpose of market research is to uncover unbiased answers that can lead to actionable results, and most research experts agree that an odd-numbered scale is better suited to capture the unbiased sentiments of survey respondents.

Syria aggressively advancing face of U.S. coastal waters, the Russian military to take "personal monitoring " and " soft resistance" mode. According to the British "Guardian" reported on the 2nd , the Russians " Azov " was conducted surveillance ship in the Eastern Mediterranean combat duty , gathered in this real-time monitoring of the U.S. fleet. Russian military sources stressed that this is normal behavior , " tensions in the high seas , the relevant countries will take similar measures ." According to reports, " Azov " numbers in the third generation of the Soviet Navy , " cherry " class surveillance ship , the Gdynia shipyard since 1987 under the Russian Black Sea Fleet . After the disintegration of the Soviet Union , it is still active in the Black Sea and the Mediterranean Sea . Ship load displacement of 3,000 tons, speed 16 , endurance 4000 sea miles , membership reached 146 people , suitable for long ocean cruise . " Azov " was responsible for reconnaissance early submarines and underwater cable of the special mission and subsequently increased intelligence gathering signals intelligence and communications functions , the most prominent change is the appearance of two dense grille protruding antenna mast , while the upper architecture adds two spherical radome , allegedly ship shore via satellite and the exchange of intelligence data command center , called the "mobile intelligence czar ." To prevent possible attacks , " Azov " was specially equipped with AK-630 guns and "needle -S" ship to air missiles to defend itself . With " Azov " was represented by the Russian reconnaissance ship using the " freedom of navigation on the high seas ," the protection of international law , frequently at or near the United States and NATO fleets or coastal base, through high-sensitivity sensors transmit signals intelligence intercept each other , communications intelligence , weapons testing more detailed characteristics of intelligence and intelligence . Russian military intelligence gathering through the dense , detection of a specific emission source signals intelligence within the region , within the region to grasp the position of the various emission sources , trends, signal characteristics , the chain of command , etc. These in-depth understanding of the opponent's military deployment situation is extremely critical , once electronic traffic signal displacement or a sudden change in the Russian military will be able to predict the important things happen. In fact, the Soviet and Russian surveillance ship has repeatedly play a huge role . In 1983, the Soviet Navy surveillance ship intercepted in advance "Independence" and "Kennedy " aircraft carrier aircraft attack direction , notice deployed in Lebanon Syrian air defenses prepared in advance, in one fell swoop and lay -plus U.S. aircraft carrier . During the Kosovo war in 1999 , the Russian Navy, " Bend in the River " and " Ji Erding " No. surveillance ship was also nearby to monitor the NATO air campaign . Obviously, the issue of Russia's hopes in Syria can continue past practice , through no offensive " military presence " counterweight to U.S. military action impulses.

According to the "Voice of Russia" website reported that the Moscow 2013 International Aviation and Aerospace Exhibition (Marx -2013), the exhibition of the Russian production "Doyle-M2" type new antiaircraft missile complex. Moreover, its producers "tactical missile weapon" stock company also announced that a number of technical indicators missile. From these data we can see that, "Doyle-M2" is supplied to China earlier and was used in Russia's "Doyle-M1" upgrade. Russia's strategic and technical analysis expert Vasily Kashin that the missile also makes China interesting. "Voice of Russia" website reported that reads as follows: The new missile has nearly 1000 meters per second rate of fire, 12-16 km away from the shot, and hit 6-10 km altitude targets. "Doyle -M2/MU" complex has been started in 2012 in the Russian army fielded. It can be used as a new type of missile, but also can be the old-type "Doyle" upgrade, and that the missile has a more comprehensive fire management system that can simultaneously track 48 targets and hit them four. China in the period from 1996 to 1999 purchased 35 sets of "Doyle-M1" missile, and soon began to be copied. Although the system development work early to known, but only in 2011-2012 to begin mass fielded forces. In fact, the Chinese industry is not new to Russia that missile system is almost a replica of the time used and upgraded version of the Russian side to create the same amount of time used. While some Chinese media have reported that, HQ-17 missile system is the "Doyle-M1" of the "upgraded version", but its extent is difficult to say the upgrade is substantial. Perhaps, from the combat effectiveness, China gained new missile system than Russia backward several times. Moreover, the production license of China refused to buy the amount of money savings is also in doubt. After all, the Chinese engineers and workers' years of hard work, spending quite a lot of money.

1992 Brick Fundraising Project gives Alumni a Sense of Belonging Today

Brick fundraising specialist Larry Cannon (www.bricksculpture.com) has helped hospitals, churches, schools and non-profits raise funds with memorial brick fundraising since 1988. In 1992, a brick fundraising wall raised over $100,000 for Columbus High School in Columbus, Georgia. But the benefits continue on and on.
Susan Bryant, the current principal said that today the name wall is "meaningful, it gives the alumni a sense of belonging, a sense that they were here."
There's never been any graffiti on the donor wall, even though the school itself has the occasional prank, and the location of the memorial brick wall would provide easy access for graffiti. Today donor alumni volunteer school maintenance projects.
Alumni come to Columbus High School looking for their name on the brick wall. It gives a sense of belonging that extends to the family and friends.
Larry Cannon, one of the premier US brick artists, engraved the school logo in a 6- foot-high mural as the centerpiece of the brick fundraising wall. His work is beautiful ? a one-of-a kind brick sculpture. In the hundreds of brick fundraising projects he's done since 1988, there's only been 1 case of vandalism and no graffiti on any of his work?.an amazing fact considering how much of his work is in high schools, colleges and on inner-city buildings.
This brick fundraising wall adds to the community in a way that will last beyond a lifetime. The $100,000 in raised funds came in handy in 1992, and the wall continues to give lasting benefits to the school and community.

6 Ways to help your employees beat stress and work more

If you would like your business to employ highly motivated and high-energy level employees then investing in the workplace atmosphere and facilities will help and will reduce work-place stress significantly. Research confirms that if your employees are stressed then that will cost you even more money in missed workdays and increased on-the-job injuries over both the short term and the long term.

In addition to the negative repercussions of having stressed out employees, your business may be experiencing lower productivity and poor quality of output. It is both clear and obvious that some very cost effective strategies could minimize stress on the job and provide your employees with opportunities to reduce other stress related problems.

Below is a list of 6 ways in which you can help your company reduce stress for your employees while increasing the output of your business:

1. Provide an attractive and comfortable work environment whenever possible to reduce stress. Pleasant surroundings can do more for a person's attitude then we often realize. Create a less formal atmosphere by adding plants or improved decoration, even if that is just in a rest room it will help.

2. Supply a quiet room for your employees to take their breaks in. Not the canteen or games room, this room should be separate from the normal "hustle and bustle" of the work-place. It will give your employees an opportunity of a quick 10 minute break from work and anywork related stress that they may be experiencing.

3. Instead of giving orders 100% of the time try to create opportunities for employees to make decisions that will directly affect their job performance. This gives them a sense of personal power and less stress because they feel they have some control.

4. Thank your employees for work accomplished and recognize them for exemplary performance. A quick thank you will go a long way in reducing complaints and stress. Be genuine and only thank when workers have worked well otherwise you will be rewarding sub-standard activities.

5. Always choose ergonomically sound equipment, tools, and furniture. These will make work easier for your staff, reduce workplace injuries and therefore limit any compensation claims. In addition workplace stress will be reduced and staff, equipped with the correct tools, will be more productive.

6. Go out of your way to create opportunities for the employees to meet, socialize and build relationships away from work. Set up a bowling team from work where you gather and play once a week or maybe a softball team, or even a book club, for employees only.

When staff realize you have their interests in mind and are doing all you can to improve working conditions they will respond and you will see an improved atmosphere and productivity.

A Perfect Shine - San Diego's Apartment Cleaning Company

What exactly is a House Cleaning Referral Agency?

Referral agencies are just as the name implies. They are agencies that refer "Independent Contractors" to customers for different services. One of the most popular services for referral agencies is House Cleaning. Referral agencies are contacted by customers looking for house cleaners. Referral agencies are basically the middle man. They will find you individual cleaners to clean your home.

Referral agencies are NOT the actual employers of these individuals. Referral agencies cannot direct, train or control these individual's work in any way. Referral agencies also don't pay employment taxes on these individuals. Customer's MAY be liable for paying employment taxes if they pay wages over certain tax thresholds while the individual works within their home. Referral agencies are also NOT responsible for paying worker's compensation, liability insurance or bonding.

By not paying taxes or insurance; referral agencies can most often under price employer based cleaning companies. A number consumers think this is amazing. They can save money. Everybody wants a bargain right? Well, let's take a closer look. Many and various individuals that agree to work for referral agencies have never had any former cleaning training. They may not have individual insurance or liability insurance. What happens if they get hurt in your home? Is the referral agency going to pay? NO! What happens if the individual breaks your tiffany lamp and the individual does not have insurance? Who pays, the "independent contractor? Good luck trying to collect that debt. Let's go back to the referral agency. Are they going to pay for your lamp? No way! Remember, they only "referred" an individual to you! They will tell you they have no liability.

Usually the difference between a referral agency and an employer based company is in quality, dependability, professionalism and liability. You may pay a little more for these qualities, but you will sleep well knowing you are using a licensed, bonded and methodically insured and professional company.

Referral agencies legally must disclose the fact that they are referral agencies. They must disclose this fact, both verbally and in writing. They must also let the customer know that they may be liable for payment of employment taxes including unemployment insurance and social security for this "Independent Contractor".

Other problems regularly encountered with referral agencies, is the situation where the customer is unhappy with the cleaning the "independent contractor" performs. Since the referral agency cannot legally train or direct the work of the "Independent Contractor" - the referral agencies only solution is to send another "Independent Contractor." This is the cycle a customer many times falls into when using referral agencies.

Employer based companies frequently put their employees through a thorough training program. The employee then works alongside experienced workers to gain more mastery of skills on all aspects of cleaning. When you hire a person from a referral agency you have no idea if they have had any training. Remember, the agency is NOT allowed to train, direct or control these individuals. If they do in anyway, they become employers and are responsible for paying all the taxes mentioned above.

The next time you call for an estimate on cleaning you may want to ask if the company carries worker's compensation or better yet just ask the question??? "Are you a referral agency?" Remember when calling for estimates from cleaning companies, you may not always be comparing apples with apples and oranges with oranges. Make an informed decision and hopefully you will find a competent professional cleaning company to put a shine to your home. Please find laws on referral agencies operating in California below.

The portals are not concerning with the sale of that business listing there to promote it. In second case, portals are getting paid if any one make shopping through the portal. A Look at IT Help Desk Software

IT help desk software can be a valuable resource for technicians to manage and resolve troubleshooting tickets. Most companies realize the benefits of purchasing help desk software since it is a reliable way to manage customer inquiries and complaints. IT help desk software is preferred by both companies and clients over a traditional call center.

In traditional call centers, customers often complain of long hold times and unreturned voicemails. Other times, the less-than-technically-savvy customer may become frustrated in his or her attempt to explain the problem. Help desk software allows an IT department to effectively manage and direct certain issues to the appropriate personnel.

Many IT help desk software programs offer the convenience of a user-friendly menu and easy-to-manage files. Customers can choose from a variety of help topics and even copy and paste error messages to send to IT. For those customers who are not technically advanced, menus can be set up to offer a variety of common questions.

HelpDesks.com is an excellent resource for extensive IT help desk software reviews and information. This site allows you to compare the leading providers of the products to find the right program for your needs. Convenient charts allow you to see various amenities offered such as whether or not the program is web-based, costs associated with purchase and upgrades and the number of users allowed for each program.

One of the most popular IT help desk software programs, according to consumer reviews, is FootPrints. On a scale of one to ten, it has a rating of 9.2 and has multiple consumer reviews. This is a web-based program, and the initial cost is around $6,000. FootPrints offers unlimited user capabilities and free upgrades with their annual maintenance contract. This program is compatible with Linux, Windows NT, Windows 2013 and Unix operating systems. It also offers searchable databases, assignment of reference numbers, F.A.Q databases, billing databases and much, much more.

Affiliate Is Not A Dirty Word

There are many people out there who have a passionate desire to create their own successful home business using the Internet.
Affiliate programs offer an excellent and easily accessible way to do this.

When I first started out on my journey to become a successful Internet marketer I used to wonder about all the advertisements I came across that begged me to join an affiliate program. They made huge claims about how much money I would earn if I joined them so I just ignored them. That is until I started to understand more about affiliates and affiliate programs.

WHAT IS AN AFFILIATE?
An affiliate is someone who promotes other people's products or services. When you become an affiliate you have a money making business opportunity but you have none of the worries or expenses of a typical business. You'll never have the bother of dealing with processing or shipping an order or be involved with customer care. You will however receive money for your promotional efforts. When someone purchases a product or service through your efforts you receive a commission on the sale. All you have to do is promote and wait to receive your payment cheques.

WHERE DO I FIND AN AFFILIATE PROGRAM?
There are literally thousands of affiliate programs to choose from. Many of them will tell you that you will earn thousands and thousands of dollars per month if you join them. They will state all the amazing benefits to you and how new and fabulous their particular product or service is. I'm sure you have seen these advertisements everywhere on the Internet. If you type in affiliate programs into your search engine you will see what I mean. You will also just come across them as you are surfing.
It can be quite over whelming to make a choice.

HOW DO I DECIDE WHICH AFFILIATE PROGRAM IS FOR ME?
There are three approaches to choosing the right program for you.
Choose something that has a high demand
Choose something that you have a passion for
Combine the above two points so you will have a product that is in high demand and you are passionate about it.

I personally think a combination of these approaches is the best.
If you choose something that is in high demand then there will be a market for the product or service. It is essential to have a market otherwise you will find that no one will be interested in buying from you. The down side here however is when there is a high demand there is also a lot of competition.

If you choose something you are passionate about then you'll have more fun and you'll be more passionate about what you are promoting. When you have something you can put your heart and soul into you will generally do better than if you are promoting something you don't care about or know nothing about.

Make a list of what you are passionate about. Then do a search on the key words to see how many other people have this same interest. You can do this by using a key-word search. www.goodkeywords.com offer free software you can download. Use this to search for the information. Just type in the key word and see how many results come up, i.e. how many people searched for those word over the last month. Then use your search engine to locate your affiliate program.

For example my personal primary interests evolve around living a better life. This means I am interested in health, wealth, developing better relationships and emotional and spiritual well being. Because I have these fundamental desires I searched for an affiliate program that helped me to attract more of these things into my life.

You may decide to go with just one program. The ideal situation would be to find one program. Understand how it works then branch out to include a few more that connect to your primary interest. Once you've understood what's involved in promoting your primary program it will be only a little more effort to hook up with other programs and start increasing your monthly cheques! You may also find that as you go along you will need to buy a few things for example, web hosting and domain names. You may then see the value of adding these services to your affiliate list too.

For example once I found my primary program I realised I had to advertise in order to get customers. I also discovered that I really did need my own website even though I had acquired several free ones when I joined my affiliate program. So I learnt all about web hosts and domain names and website design. As I went along I picked up a few more affiliate programs. After much trial and error I came to develop an understanding of the concept of organic search engine optimisation. I loved the whole concept so I added this to my list of programs too. I have also developed a deeper understanding and appreciation for how Internet business works.

HOW DO I MAKE AN AFFILIATE PROGRAM WORK FOR ME?
The big thing is PROMOTION. You will need to promote your affiliate products or services. When you join an affiliate program you will usually be given one or more free websites and some links and banners. When someone clicks onto the links or banners and purchases the product or service you will receive a commission. This is how affiliate programs work.

Regardless of which program you are involved in, advertising and promoting your links and banners will become your number one priority!
If you are not prepared for this you will not be successful.
It is that simple.
There is no way around this.

The best way to do this is by becoming educated in the right things to do.
You have a choice of paying for advertising or not paying for advertising.
A great place to start is with understanding how organic search engine optimisation works and how to get it to work for you. This method of advertising is time consuming to get set up if you do it manually but once your done it will provide you with an endless source of free targeted traffic to your website. There are soft-ware programs you can buy that will get you set up if your short on time.

Unfortunately the truth is that 95% of Internet entrepreneurs make no money. There are lots of reasons for this. Some of the more serious and common reasons are that many people just don't understand how to promote. Many still don't even realise that they have to have their own websites. Many spend more money than they are comfortable with because they head down the road of paid advertising and they aren't in a position to afford this.

My best advise to you is that you enjoy your affiliate programs. Get your own website. Learn about organic search engine optimisation and spend your money wisely.
I hope this article will help position you for great success with you Internet marketeering

Beauty secrets of perfume details

In those days royal and elite females used to wear perfumes primarily to attract their companions. Modern women use different types of perfumes for different occasions and moods. There are exclusive women's perfume for day time use, evening use, and bedtime use separately. There are also women perfumes for different moods like romance and lovemaking. Women perfumes are different from men's colognes in terms of ingredients used and their characteristics. In women's perfumes oils are used as a primary ingredient whereas in men's perfumes alcohol is the principal component.Women and perfume are inseparable elements; in fact perfumes have become an integral part of modern women's fashion. Many people like the convenience of shopping from home. However, these same individuals may be missing out on new products if they don't explore. Make sure that if you are shopping online for brand name perfume that you ask for samples. It is definitely better than getting squirted in the eye by a saleswoman in the mall. The products section of the site gives detailed information on the company's products under the headings movement, cleansing and conditioning, styling, colour and highlighting, colour removal, and accessories. These days perfumes are bought online as well as in department stores. There is a new trend nowadays on buying since everything you want is available online, most working women is into online shopping. Their lifestyle have dictated this change. Some of them said that they are very busy with their work and don't have time to visit the malls. Advertise, Advertise, Advertise

Many people sign up for affiliate programs with the hopes of making some serious money. They advertise a few places and then wait for the money to start pouring in. When it doesn't, they blame it on the program and quit.

I am convinced the only way to make money online is to have a consistent Advertising plan. A plan you are willing to work hard on and commit to for a selected period of time. When making this plan, you need to do two things. First, you should pick a few affiliate programs that are of interest to you. Second, you need to decide how long you want to work these programs. Once you decide on a time period (I recommend 6 months to a year), you must make a promise to yourself that you will not stop advertising until that time period is up. This is perhaps the most important factor in your success.

Next, you need to consider your advertising options: traffic exchanges, classified ads, e-mail campaigns, ezine articles, posting to forums or message boards, chatting with others who are interested in what you have to offer, and posting flyers around your town. Now you see the many possible advertising avenues you can choose from. I recommend doing all of them. It may sound like a lot of work, but when broken down into a plan, it is not.

One possible plan may look like this: Traffic Exchanges-1 hour per day. Post 15 classified ads per day. Make 5 posts to a message board or forum per day. Submit an article once per week to an ezine. Visit chat rooms and distribute flyers as you have extra time during the week. This all can be accomplished by spending 2-3 hours per day. You will be surprised how much you get done when you have a plan. You may also choose whether you will work 5 or 6 days per week. Make a checklist for each day of the week, and mark each task off as you finish it. That will keep you on focus, and will make you feel good that you are one step closer to reaching your goal.

Make a commitment to your new plan and don't get involved in any other programs until your current programs are making you money consistently. Don't give up. Sticking with this plan will significantly improve your success. Remember, Advertise, Advertise, Advertise.

Advantages of Buying Promotional Products Online

Buying your promotional products and corporate identity apparel online provides five major advantages: a greater selection, better pricing, convenience, customer service, and faster ordering time.

Factories often display their entire line of products on the web, providing you with a greater selection of products. With all of these factories on the web, you gain the opportunity to compare quality and pricing in a simple and easy online format, instead of wasting time browsing through endless catalogs that crowd your work center.

Better pricing is readily available on the web, but you have to dig and probe for it. Type in any promotional product related keywords into your favorite search engine and sift through the results until you find a promotional products company with discount pricing. A great trick is to choose an item and have several promotional product companies give you a quote, ALWAYS including any set up charges and freight. This will get you a true number to compare an exact total cost.

How do these online web companies afford to sell the exact same product for less than other distributors? Traditionally, promotional items are sold by a distributor who has a whole staff of outside sales people that will go to your business, show you tons samples, and baby sit you through the process of placing an order. These outside sales people are number one primary expense of an off-line distributor. Believe me this expense is then factored into the price of the promotional item you are purchasing, thus raising your total cost. By purchasing discount promotional products on the web, you can eliminate lining some salespersons pockets and reduce your purchase price by a considerable amount of money.

The Convenience comes with the ability of placing your entire order online. All successful web companies offer this service with encrypted order forms to secure your purchasing information. You may send your artwork via email. This is made easy with the online form. With online ordering you gain the convenience of placing your order anytime, twenty-four hours a day seven days a week.

A few of these online web companies also provide customer service departments with extended hours. They are set up to take your calls, handle your rush orders, and to answer your questions promptly. If you prefer to communicate through e-mail, this is a great way to document your order from start to finish. You can e-mail a question to your distributor, leave for a break, and have it answered by the time you return.

A much faster ordering time is the fifth major result of the online purchase. I have personally visited hundreds of clients. This obviously requires an appointment, which naturally must fit into both parties' schedules. An off-line salesperson is forced to interpret your needs prior to your meeting. Then bring what samples and catalogs they have on hand, but these may not meet your needs and thus your ordering time will be extended for a second meeting. If you have any questions about product availability, turn around time, or any other factory sensitive inquiries, the salesperson will have to return to his office in order to contact the factory, to get you your answers. When you order from an online web company, the customer service team is already in their office, so they can contact the factory with your questions and call you back immediately.

I have given you five great reasons to buy Imprinted products from an online discount promotional products company, but I must also remind you that there is always a trade off. Online promotional products companies work very hard to cut all possible costs and to pass this savings on to you. You will find that this results in a charge for samples and pre-payment requirements. The charge for promotional samples insures that the company will not give away products to non-customers, as this would considerably raise the real customers' costs. Paying in advance is very common among internet purchasing in general, and necessary for almost every online company to insure payment. Pre-payment is nothing to worry about. You still have the right to a quality product, and you gain an enormous savings.

Another Tip: When purchasing imprinted corporate apparel, select an online company that has in-house embroidery and screen printing facilities. It has been my experience that these companies will have much better control of expediting your orders, a better knowledge of branding, experience which allows them to better monitor quality control, and a much better capabilities to complete rush orders quicker.

Today you will find that many more successful businesses are now placing their promotional product and corporate apparel orders in the hands of these qualified discount online distributors. The advantages are numerous; convenience, speed, selection, accountability, service, and above all, savings.

America's Next Top Model Copies No Match for Tyra's original

The success of the reality show America's Next Top Model has sprouted more than twenty adaptations all over the world. With nearly the same show structure, format and substance, generally all Top Model shows bring forth a variety of attractive model wannabes and showcases their journey week by week as they hone their skills in preparation to become a Top Model. But until this day, as far as ratings are concerned, no progeny of Top Model can surpass or even compare to the original show established by Tyra Banks.Banks, a 33-year old television personality, has established herself as aprominent icon in the fashion industry. This former supermodel has graced the cover of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue and is one of the original Victoria's Secret Angels. This Californian native has done many runway shows and has won numerous awards and recognition including "Super Model of the Year" in 1997. Her modeling credits included brands like Cover Girl, Pepsi, Ralph Lauren, Escada, Michael Kors, Liz Claiborne, and Nike to name a few.

So what sets apart Banks' show from other versions? The worldwide fame and popularity of America's Next Top Model appears to be adjacent to Bank's fame and stardom as well. Aside from her unique hosting abilities, she also had firsthand experience on the struggles and challenges in the modeling word being a former supermodel, which inspires and convincingly attracts viewers allover. Furthermore, America's Next Top Model has consistently showcased one host, Banks, since its initial launch, unlike versions of other countries like Britain, Canada and Australia that has frequently replaced its host almost every cycle.

Banks seems to have that "magic touch" and charisma that makes her shows standout from the rest. Just like America's Next Top Model, her other program The Tyra Banks Show has been escalating with popularity and recognition. And apart from establishing herself as a model and a great host, she has also successfully accomplished other ventures as an executive producer, an author, a singer and an actress.

10 Easy Steps to a Successful Postcard Marketing Campaign

Want an inexpensive yet effective way to market your business? Then think postcards! They less expensive to mail than letters and they almost always get read because your message is out in the open for everyone to see. If you follow these 10 steps, you'll discover how effective and lucrative marketing with postcards can be.

1. Keep Design Simple
Don't confuse your prospects. The design needs to be simple. Remember the saying a??less is more?a?? You must make it easy for the prospect to get the message. In fact, using color on both sides is unnecessary and confusing to the recipient. Save money and print color on the main side and black and white on the address side.

2. Avoid Too Much Information
Do not give in to the temptation to cram copy onto every square inch as you try and fit a sales letter onto the postcard. This will overwhelm the prospect and dilute your message.

3. One Idea per Postcard
If your product is efficient, inexpensive and comes with a lifetime guaranteea?|choose one feature (and of course, the corresponding benefits) to promote on the postcard. This is a great opportunity for multiple mailings. Send a separate postcard detailing one benefit of your product or service.

4. Powerful Headline
You must pay the closest attention to the headline. The headline is what will compel the prospect to keep reading. The best type of headline has a direct benefit to the reader.

5. Promote Your Website
Don't forget to promote your website on the postcard. This is a great opportunity to drive extra traffic to your site. It also gives the prospect an easy way to get extra information.

6. Make an Irresistible Offer
Don't forget to entice the prospect with an offer. If you are giving a special discount or trial offer, make sure the offer is in the forefront, not buried in mounds of copy.

7. Strong Call to Action
Do not forget this critical step. Instruct the prospect to do whatever you feel is the appropriate next step. Just make it simple. Prospects don't want jump through hoops to get to your product or service. Do you want your prospect to call you? They tell them what to do.

8. Build a Great List
You can have the best postcard out there but if you don't have a good list, it won't convert well. Check out a service like InfoUSA.com or your local Chamber of Commerce to build a good list. And don't forget to maximize your website by including an opt-in page to create the best list of alla?|customers who are interested in your product or service.

9. Repeat Mailings
If you want your campaign to be effective, you must send more than one postcard! I can't tell you how many times I've heard people complain that postcards don't work because their one-time mailing failed to convert. Once-a-month mailings can be quite effective. But if your budget is tight, the minimum you should send is 3.

10. Follow-Up with Phone Calls
If you really want to add extra mileage to your campaign, follow-up with phone calls. After you send the postcards, the a??cold calla?? isn't so cold and you'll be on your way to finding new customers.

Remembera?|making sales is a numbers game. The more prospects you contact the more sales you will make. It's that simple.

Need more sales? The solution is as easy as your next postcard campaign!

Attracting a Former Client from Your Competition

Too many small business owners pass on the opportunity to attract their former clients. That's a mistake. It's far easier to get back together with a client you've lost or had no contact with than to get a new client. Your goal on the phone should be limited: to get a meeting with the former client at which you can pitch to become part of their life once again. The secret to achieving this is to leverage, as much as possible, on any personal relationship or event the two of you shared. Assuming there was a problem that caused your falling out, the former client may still be angry. You response should be to absorb their anger and simply ask for the chance to tell your side of the story and make amends. To do either of those, you'll need a phone meeting, then a face-to-face meeting if at all possible.

Here are the tactics you need to practice prior to your meeting, in order to attract your former client from your competition:

* Your attitude must be cordial, humble, and if necessary, persistant.

* Before the call, gather as much personal data about the former client and his family as you can. Now is the time to dig through your notes if you don't remember names and ages. Search Google for your client's name, and see if any personal information pops up on a Blog somewhere. Also, be prepared to call back since your sudden reappearance may surprise them initially.

*On Tuesday through Friday, try to call either before 9 A.M. or after 5 P.M. Do not try to resurrect them on a Monday. Also, don't call the former client at home or on the weekend. You'll get the most civil responses during normal working hours when they are at the office.

*Prepare your behavior to absorb some anger. If possible, imply that your request to reconnect with them is a modest one. You could even offer to bring bagels for the office during a morning meeting, or offer to take them out to dinner.

*For your phone icebreaker you could say, "How are you? I ran into our friend Jane Doe yesterday and it got me thinking about you. I'm just calling to patch things up and see how you and your family are doing. I hope I'm not calling at a bad time?"

The key points to remember are:

If it's a bad time for your former client, then tell them you will call them back later in the week.

If they are still angry, then absorb the anger and say, "You know, I understand your anger. I hope one day you'll be able to sit down with me over a cup of coffee and hear my side of the story. Sorry for troubling you."

If it's a good time for them to talk, then make amends by saying, "That's another reason for this call. I'd like to try to work with you again. I think we could really be of help to each other. Are you available next Wednesday to meet for breakfast or dinner"

You can re-use these great tactics to rekindle a dorment relationship for business networking purposes. Or, you can tell a former client about a new product or service you are offering. Either way, you will earn the respect of your former client.

An eBay Seller's Checklist.

I'm glad you found my article and I hope this information is exactly what you are looking for.

Being a seller is a lot of responsibility, and sometimes you might feel like you're not doing everything you should be. This simple checklist will help you keep on top of things.

Have you found out everything you possibly could about your items? Try typing their names into a search engine ? you might find out something you didn't know. If someone else is selling the same thing as you, then always try to provide more information about it than they do.

Do you monitor the competition? Always keep an eye on how much other items the same as or similar to yours are selling, and what prices they're being offered at. There's usually little point in starting a fixed price auction for $100 when someone else is selling the item for $90.

Have you got pictures of the items? It's worth taking the time to photograph your items, especially if you have a digital camera. If you get serious about eBay but don't have a camera, then you will probably want to invest in one at some point.

Are you emailing your sellers? It's worth sending a brief email when transactions go through: something like a simple ?Thank you for buying my item, please let me know when you have sent the payment?. Follow this up with ?Thanks for your payment, I have posted your [item name] today?. You will be surprised how many problems you will avoid just by communicating this way.

Also, are you checking your emails? Remember that potential buyers can send you email about anything at any time, and not answering these emails will just make them go somewhere else instead of buying from you.

Do your item description pages have everything that buyers need to know? If you're planning to offer international delivery, then it's good to make a list of the charges to different counties and display it on each auction. If you have any special terms and conditions (for example, if you will give a refund on any item as long as it hasn't been opened), then you should make sure these are displayed too.

Have you been wrapping your items correctly? Your wrapping should be professional for the best impression: use appropriately sized envelopes or parcels, wrap the item in bubble wrap to stop it from getting damaged, and print labels instead of hand-writing addresses. Oh, and always use first class post ? don't be cheap.

Do you follow up? It is worth sending out an email a few days after you post an item, saying ?Is everything alright with your purchase? I hope you received it and it was as you expected.? This might sound like giving the customer an opportunity to complain, but you should be trying to help your customers, not take their money and run.

Being a really good eBay seller, more than anything else, is about providing genuinely good and honest customer service. That's the only foolproof way to protect your reputation. Of course, you might be wondering by now whether it's really worth all the hassle to get a good reputation on eBay.

Well, that's the end of my article. I hope you will be able to use this information.

10 Easy Ways to Make Your Flyer Stand Out in the Crowd

Copyright 2013 Karen Saunders

A flyer is an inexpensive and highly effective way to grab attention in a very busy marketplace. How do you make your flyer stand out in the crowd? Here are some techniques that professional designers use to make flyers "pop."

1. Write a snappy headline or title.

Make it memorable, unusual or provocative using a few carefully chosen powerful words. Popular titles contain one or more of these words: Easy, The Secrets to, Unlock, Finally, Insider, Time Sensitive, How to, Free Bonuses, Now You Can, Discover, Proven.

2. Use colorful or striking graphics.

One large image will have more impact than many smaller images. A stunning photo or illustration grabs attention, creates a mood, and supports your story. This image is your "focal point" and will draw your readers in. You can purchase inexpensive but quality stock photos on the Internet. Download individual photos or purchase a CD with hundreds of images.

3. Focus on the benefits of your product or service.

Your prospects will ask the question, "What's in it for me?" Write from the their perspective using the words "you" and "your." Avoid using the following words: we, us, I and our. Be sure to keep your text short and to the point. Some of the most powerful words to use are: free, save, love, new, results, and guarantee. Break up long paragraphs with bullet points and place them in a separate box.

4. Use compelling testimonials and case studies.

Nothing strikes a chord like an endorsement from a happy customer, especially if it demonstrates the results they've had with your product or service. Be sure to include the first and last name, company name and location of the person providing the endorsement.

5. Organize your page with boxes, borders and areas of contrasting colors.

You don't need to fill your flyer with wall-to-wall text and graphics. Incorporate some white space to make certain elements stand out and to make the flyer easy to read.

6. Make your points easily identifiable.

Highlight titles and subtitles in bold, but avoid using ALL CAPS because they are more difficult to read.

7. Don't get too complicated.

Make it simple with two typefaces, and align items to a grid. Your page layout program will provide non-printing guidelines. Use the "snap to guidelines" function to align items easily to the grid. Be aware of printing margins. I suggest you create your layout with 1/2" margins on all sides, or add 1/8" for bleeds on items that print off the edge of the page.

8. Don't forget to proofread.

Have someone else proofread your work. Check your contact information. Dial the phone numbers on the flyer to make sure they are correct, and type in the URL of your website to make sure it is correct, too.

9. If you are on a tight budget, try this.

Select bright-colored or unique paper, and print with black ink. Use shades of grey to provide tones and contrasting background areas.

10. Offer a discount or special limited-time price.

Design a coupon on the bottom quarter of the flyer. Be sure to clearly state the deadlines and limitations of the offer. If it is a mail-in coupon, be sure to include the payment specifications with areas for filling out credit card information, mailing address, etc.

You don't need to re-invent the wheel when creating your flyer. Use these proven techniques and you will see big results in your marketing efforts.

Adsense- Adsense units are the top of your page!

Keep updating your website, keep marketing the site, and you will soon see Google AdSense Profits. The main places you can put your Adsense units are the top of your page above your headline, in the body of your content (left or right placed) and at the bottom of your page. Some people think that affiliate marketing is too much work and that splashing some AdSense ads on a page is far easier. Your page will be designed primarily as a means of providing some additional subject matter information and will feature Adsense ads.

Make a knowledge site with a blend of affiliate programs along with Google AdSense ads and earn several nice paychecks a month. If you have your own web site and join the free 'AdSense' program, Google gives you a code that you simply cut and paste into your web pages. Since people doing well with AdSense generally don't like to reveal their earnings due to the fear that they may be terminated by the program, any discussion about an average EPC/CTR/CPM is a waste of time. Many argue Google already dominates the web, why should it not be the one to handle these CPA transactions through its Adsense program.

While, you need to make your Adsense unit blend in with your content, so use rectangular boxes. While this is unlikely accurate since Google will never tell you exactly why it is you have been banned from AdSense it may be possible, because carefully having reviewed the Terms of Service there are restrictions that seem all too vague, but considerably risky to leave unascertained. If you're building content websites with the aim of earning an AdSense income then you'll know that the ads shown are dependant upon the surrounding content on your web pages. In a nutshell, Ad Section Targeting allows you to emphasize what keywords Google AdSense will pick up from your site.

The keywords that appear most frequently within the page, search engine queries that lead to the page or to another page that links to the pagea??. Unless you have a decent amount of quality content your blog will appear to be a sleazy MFA site (made for AdSense) which will have a negative effect on traffic. Begin by utilizing AdSense and then add one strategy at a time. 1) Ways to make money from Adsense by Distributing articles through Ezine and Press Releases One effective method of increasing adsense revenue is simply increasing the number of targeted visitors that visit your adsense-content page. I earn anywhere from $1,000 to $1,500 every month through adsense. Are you in for the long term as a serious adsense publisher? There used to be a question that goes, "Is building Adsense sites a business. However, YPN requires a little more maintenance than AdSense for one very daunting reason. Try to experiment with the background color, font and text colors to achieve the desired click-through campaign and, hence, maximizing your adsense income.

The number one reason Google's AdSense program has far outweighed Yahoo's Publisher Network is because they've been able to spread out as far and wide as possible in as little time as possible. You will also come across Google AdWords, when visiting one of the thousands of Google's webmaster partners, who host AdWords on their web sites, under AdWords sister program, AdSense.www.adsense-dollar-factory.com
Firstly, you need software that can build hundreds of your adsense sites fast using reprinted articles. Go to Modules, Site Modules and click on the SW Adsense link.

Beijing Olympics 2013 but senior officials are confident the country

China spent more than $42 billion to stage the Beijing Olympics but senior officials are confident the country will not go into a post-Games recession.
"The Olympic Games won't be a watershed for China's economic growth," the China Daily reported Monday, quoting Wang Yiming, vice president of the Academy of Macroeconomic Research.
China's economic growth slowed to 10.1 percent in the first half of this year after growing at an annual 11.9 percent rate last year, raising concerns the economy may shrink after the growth-boosting Games.
But Wang said the fundamentals that helped drive China's economic growth the past three decades will not change even after the Olympics, the report said.
He said given the size of China's economy, the Games had only a limited impact. Since 2013, when China was picked to host the 2013 Summer Olympics, the country's economy has grown an average of 10.5 percent, the report said.
China's cost for the Beijing Olympics included $1.89 billion to build the sports facilities and $40.75 billion to improve urban infrastructure, the report said.
Chinese officials were quoted as saying the country will continue its substantial investment in infrastructure even after the Games to sustain the economy's growth momentum.

An Introduction to Powis Parker Fastback Binding Strips

If you have a Powis Parker Fastback binding machine or are considering buying one you might have some questions about the different types of binding strips that are offered. This article is designed to give you a quick overview of the different Fastback Binding Strips that are available and what they are used for. Here they are ...

1. Fastback Super Strips are the most common type of Fastback binding strips and are used by the Powis Parker Fastback Model 11 and 15xs. These strips are available in a large number of colors and in three different thicknesses (narrow, medium and wide). Fastback Super Strips have a fast binding time (approximately 17 seconds with the new 15xs CP upgrade).

2. Fastback Speed Strips were originally designed for customers who needed a faster binding time than was available from Fastback Super Strips. However, with new upgrades Fastback Super Strips now bind much faster than they used to and Powis Parker will be discontinuing the Speed Strip.

3. Fastback Composition strips have a leatherette finish that is designed to match the coloration and look of Fastback Composition Covers. These elegant binding strips are available in Narrow, Medium and Wide and are available in Black, Dark Gray, White, Dark Blue, Dark Green, Red and Maroon.

4. Fastback Perfectback strips are designed to allow users to do short run perfect binding using their Fastback Machine. Fastback Perfectback strips are available in several different varieties including Lay Flat (LF), Pressure Sensitive (PS) and Thermally Activated (TA). Fastback Perfectback LF strips are designed for a flexible lay flat perfect bind. Fastback Perfectback PS strips are designed with a peel of liner for a two step perfect binding process. Fastback Perfectback TS strips are designed to attach books into their perfect binding covers using the same type of thermally activated glue used to bind the pages together.

5. Fastback CP strips are some of the newest strips available on the market and are designed to bind difficult to use paper stocks such as laser print or color copier paper. These strips use an extra long bind time (approximately 50 seconds) to bind documents that cannot be bound with other types of Fastback strips.

6. Fastback LX strips are designed for use with the Fastback 8x binding machine. These strips are available in narrow and medium widths and in a number of finishes including a linen finish (similar to the Fastback Super Strips), a composition finish and in perfectback configurations. Fastback also makes an LX-Photobook strip which is designed for use as part of the Fastback Studio Photobook Binding System. The Fastback model 8x will only work with LX strips and is not compatible with any of the other types of strips that Powis Parker makes.

The six types of binding strips listed above are the types of strips that are currently available from Powis Parker for their Fastback binding machines. However, one of the great things about Powis Parker Fastback is that they are constantly producing new and innovative products so you may see some new strips from them soon.

Antiques - The Modern Day Treasure Hunt

In today's world, everything that's old can be described as antiques and generally speaking that's quite true. A product is considered to be an antique if it is over a hundred years old or is rare enough to have some value. In other words, these are old items that are in limited supply.

An antique is something collectible. It may be a piece of antique furniture that you want to collect to enhance the look of a room, or a piece of antique pottery to decorate a corner cupboard, or some antique books, antique camera and photographs, antique jewelry, antique money, antique car, antique clocks, or antique watches that you want to hand down to your grandchildren but the items must be rare enough to be considered an antique. The others are just secondhand goods junk. Most people have a common misconception about an antique: the older they look, the more antique they must be. Appearance has nothing to do with it, just because a piece looks like it came out of grandma's attic does not necessarily mean that it's an antique. The value of an antique is based on demand due to suitability and limited supply.

Most people become fascinated in an antique for two reasons; either they have an interest in collecting antique purely for personal enjoyment and are willing to shell out money for antique restoration or they inherited it from a family member. The most common are antique pottery, antique car, antique furniture, antique books, antique camera and photographs, antique clocks, antique money, antique jewelry and antique watches. However they came about it, everyone wants to be sure of one thing that what they buy or inherit will escalate in value as time goes by. That is what antique collection is all about.

There are two main principles that apply when collecting an antique: The first is to know everything that you can about the antique that interests you and second is to obtain them at the lowest possible price. Doing so will not only give you satisfaction and enjoyment, but at the same time you will also be assured that your investment will appreciate in value.

Some people only developed an interest in antique because they inherited an item or a whole house full of antique from a relative. The dollar signs started to appear and they began their hunt for some antique appraisals and antique auction. But what most failed to consider is that much of what Great Grandmother had is probably just junk, unless she was a seasoned collector who's into antique restoration or an expert in antique appraisals.

It's true that people could have bought a piece of furniture to decorate their home a long time ago and that furniture, if it were of fine quality, would now be worth something. But only a professional appraiser can guarantee that, and appraising costs about $100-150 an hour. So if you are keen on bringing you item in an antique auction and contemplating about asking someone how much an item is worth, be prepared to shell out a few bucks for the information. Appraisers charge so much because they shoulder the lion's share for insurance companies and lawyers settling estates. Although appraising is not an exact science, it still requires an appraiser to do lots of research and then prepare a detailed report that's acceptable in a court of law.
